About

Hello! I write contemporary/realistic gay-themed fiction. The characters are high school or college aged. My stories include just the right amount of conflict, slightly naughty activities, and a dose of outdoor sports. My stories end with a satisfying conclusion. They explore the experiences of teens and the people who care for them. Friendship, understanding of one’s differences, acceptance, and love are common themes.

I started writing fiction as a response to COVID restrictions, though my prior experience has been in nonfiction. My life working with teens as a high school English teacher and as a driving instructor helps me create realistic characters.

About the author

Art Gibson III, author (1941-2025)

Art Gibson III (1941-2025) wrote for LGBTQ young people as part of his devotion to teaching. This was at the heart of who he was—whether it was English in the classroom, lessons behind the wheel at a driving school, or guiding others through life as a mentor and coach. No matter the setting, he approached teaching as a true calling.

Art passed away peacefully in 2025, surrounded by loved ones. To read more about his amazing life, here is the link to his obituary.

In keeping with his family’s wishes, Art’s books will continue to be available, and this website will remain online.
